Roberts Bank East Causeway Habitat Compensation (2009-present)
The Roberts Bank East Causeway Habitat Compensation Project involves converting the eastern shoreline of the Deltaport causeway at Roberts Bank to high quality and diverse habitat for fish and water birds, including features such as salt marsh, mudflat, beaches, and backshore planting.
Works include:
- Construction of a sheet pile bulkhead wall
- Excavation of foreshore material
- Import and installation of surface aggregates
- Supply, installation and maintenance of plant material
- Placement of granular materials and asphaltic paving
