Details
The projects consisted of raising the dykes along Kanaka Creek using granural fills as part of the overall flood prevention program. Given the low strength of the existing soils along the creek, fills had to be placed in small lifts to prevent slope failures. Enhancement of fishery habitats also formed a significant part of the projects.
