Drainage Package D01/06 - Eugene Creek Diversion Earthworks |

|
The projects consisted of raising the dykes along Latimer Creek and the Upper Serpentine River using fills from other excavation sites, as part of the Owner's overall flood prevention program. Fill materials had to be placed in small lifts to prevent slope failures, given the low strength of the existing soils along the creek. Enhancement of fishery habitats also formed a significant part of the projects. Construction of a large storm detention pond and habitat compensation was an integral part of the project. |
